Good Morning Everyone! (Actually afternoon by the time you read this)
I just wanted to share a super quick recipe that will hopefully spice up your morning cereal routine! I came up with this on my run this morning (it was a tough run and I needed something to look forward to!)
The recipe is made of cereal, but tastes exactly like peanut butter toast. The great thing about it is that it is only 150 calories and is gluten free!
First, start off with any cereal you would like, preferably about 100 calories per cup. I used Rice Chex cereal.
Next, I took 2 tablespoons of PB2 (the original kind, although the chocolate kind would probably taste awesome!) and mixed it with 2 tablespoons of water. The consistency should be a littler watery.
You can get PB2 at Target, some grocery stores, and most health food stores. It only has 45 calories per 2 tablespoons.
All you have to do now is pour the PB2 into your cereal, stir, add your favorite fruit, and you are done!
It goes really great with coffee as well! But hey, what doesn’t taste great with coffee?!?
